In July our attention and conversation turns to the Tour de France, the biggest bike race of the year. It's the only sport either one of us is interested in. The good--and bad--news is that it lasts for three weeks, so while it keeps us engaged for nearly the entire month of July, it's also easy to let everything else slide.
Fortunately, Versus shows each day's stage live very early in the morning, then repeats it several times during the day and also in the evening. It's great to have on during the day when I'm cleaning rooms. I find myself waiting until the commercials come on to go check on the laundry or run the vacuum cleaner!
Today's stage winner in the individual time trial was Fabian Cancellara. We watched him in his first Tour with our daughter. I don't think she maintained quite as much interest in the Tour as we have, but we did have some quality family time together watching it that summer.
